The Album Show PC
Do you love music? Because I sure do! I really love music, but I don’t think people really understand music these days. I believe that the only true way to fully understand the music an artist creates is to listen to the album as a whole. So that’s just what I’m gonna do for you. Every Saturday afternoon from 1-3, I will be playing you an album or sections from albums that have are, as a whole, wonderful and worthy of a good listen. Tune in as I share with you some of my most favorite albums and stories.
Thanks,
PC

Beck – “Sea Change”
This album is a really interesting, down tempo, folk rock release by Beck. A somber, reflective, and inspirational album filled with beautiful and driving music.

Black Moth Super Rainbow – “Drippers”
This is a compilation of rarities and b sides from their previous albums. Maky tracks have special guests that make this one of the most unique albums BMSR has ever put out.
YAWN – YAWN e.p.
A fun, catchy band that plays low-fi electronic indie music. Heavily influenced by Animal Collective. Definitely fun party music.

Prefuse 73 and The Books – “Prefuse 73 Reads the Books”
This album was released in 2005 and is one of my favorite albums. Prefuse 73 and the Books feature each other on studio albums frequently, but this was their first and only completely collaborative release

One of the best albums of the last year, in my opinion. Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox’s second solo release. With his stream-of-consciousness style of writing, Cox’s music is a hodgepodge of sounds layered on top of each other with lucid soothing lyrics.
Blockhead – “Downtown Science”
The 2nd studio release from New York producer /DJ Blockhead. “Downtown Science” was released in 2005 on the Ninja Science label. Hip Hop style electronic music that is perfect for any occasion!
